"Our Trinity is..."

United Future Decision 2008

"... when we think something is scarce, we tend to act in ways that increase scarcity. We fear food shortages so we hoard, decreasing the supply. We fear rejection so we withdraw affection, diminishing relationship. But when we act as if we believe in the abundance of what appears to be scarce, we create conditions that help generate abundance. When we do this in commnity, the power that arises from our common action is almost unbelievable. "

UNITED FUTURE DECISION 2008

As most members of our Trinity family know, the Executive Council of our church established a steering committee to facilitate planning for the future of our Sanctuary and CE Centre and to explore long range options available to us.

Since that time, the committee has met on a regular basis and most recently presented four possible models for moving forward.

A - Update Sanctuary and Christian Education Centre for ONLY accessibility, safety, and infrastructure.
B - Minor renovations to the Sanctuary and significant renovations to the Christian Education Centre.
C - Significant renovations to both the Sanctuary and the Christian Education Centre.
D - New building on a new site.

During the November 23, November 30 and December 7 weekends, many members of Trinity had an opportunity to express their opinions on the above four options. If you were unable to be present, you still have an opportunity to indicate your preference by contacting the congregational liaison representatives Bill Wensley (905-372-6001) or Heather Halls (905-372-7537), before January 1, 2009.

Once this direction is provided to the committee, more research will be carried out to gather specific details on plans, costs and other matters. When this research is completed, a report will be brought to the congregation for discussion and decision.

Be sure to participate in this journey!
