Sunday School
Our goals for the sunday school are "to plan a comprehensive Church School program, in keeping with the values of the United Church of Canada, which enables multiple intelligence learning, creativity, the development of opportunities for friendship and a close connection with the worship life of this congregation".
The Nursery
The Church Nursery, located on the main floor, is a bright, newly decorated space with many toys and games for children up to three years. Childcare is provided every week, from fifteen minutes before the service begins. Volunteer staff consists of a minimum of one adult.
What is Sunday School?
Sunday School is a more interactive way for your child to learn about God. During the service, the children ages 4-12 are invited to leave with a teacher for an interactive and engaging lesson from the Bible and from our amazing curriculum!
What are special sessions?
Sometimes deviation from the curriculum allows for a better understanding of God's word! Certain Sundays have sessions like the No Frills Trip (donating to the food bank), or our Valentine's tea
How can I become a teacher?
Want to join our rotation of teachers? Email kblack@trinitycobourg.ca to learn more or to ask for training!
Do I need to sign my child up?
While we encourage regular attendance and a commitment to our Sunday School program, life can be busy! New children are always welcome, and no sign-up is necessary to regularly join our program.
Christian Development Committee
The Christian Development Committee is a team committed to the education of our congregation, our children, and our neighbours about God's love. Among other things, we are responsible for planning and teaching Sunday School, curating the church library, supervising the nursery, and holding special educational events. We are currently looking for new members! Please email kblack@trinitycobourg.ca for more information or to volunteer on this committee.
